Community Service
The officers and members of Rob Morris Lodge No. 92 dedicate themselves
to fraternal brotherhood and charity. Work is performed in the community
in support of several programs. Activities are conducted throughout the
year to realize the lodge's community service and charitable goals and
aims. This work includes:
Special Olympics Colorado (SOCO)
Lodge members volunteer to participate in various events throughout the
year. The mission of SOCO is to provide year-round sports training and
athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children
and adults with developmental disabilities, eight years of age and
older, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness,
demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of
gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics
athletes and the community.
Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC)
Lodge members help provide Christmas gifts every year and help in
special projects to provide specialized equipment and other items as
needs arise. The DDRC mission is to provide leading-edge services that
create opportunities for people with developmental disabilities and
their families to participate fully in the community.
Emily Griffith Center
Every August Lodge members participate in the Peak to Peak Challenge to
help in fund raising to support the Emily Griffith Center. This is a
75-year old organization in Colorado which provides troubled children
and families opportunities to become healthy and productive members of
society.
Public Schools
The Lodge participates with several other Denver-area Masonic lodges
each year in partnering with the Colorado Department of Education to
honor Colorado's outstanding teachers through the Milken Family
Foundation education awards.
